Respect for God, country and others is part of daily life at The Heart. "Thought for the Day" discussions, flag raising and lowering, and evening devotionals combined with a quiet time to discuss the day's happenings, provide a framework for respect.
|
|
Tribal training rules include striving to live up to the traits upon which The Heart was founded: Courage, Faith, Honesty, Purity, Goodness, Trust, Unselfishness, Truthfulness. Reminders of these are found all over camp.
|
|
|
Sunday all-faith church service is conducted by campers and counselors on the banks of the Guadalupe. Guest speakers include former campers, parents, noted lay persons or ministers. Special vespers are given by the counselors and campers. Roman Catholic Mass is celebrated weekly. |
