ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible to apply as a counselor you must have had at least one year of college or be at least 21 years of age.

What we're looking for:
Our counselors must be clean-cut, "All American" type. We want healthy, hearty young women whom youngsters will want to emulate; counselors who feel equally comfortable with girls in an active, fun situation, or in a quiet discussion or devotional. We want counselors who set a good example in every way, who believe in working with a team and toward a goal.

Activities are taught by counselors in an atmosphere of fun and with serious skill development in mind.

Activities include (but not limited to):

♥♥Red Cross Swimming

♥♥Competitive swimming, diving, synchronized swimming, canoeing

♥♥Western riding: pleasure, trail rides, competitive events, horsemanship

♥♥English riding: hunt seat, jumping, equitation, horsemanship

♥♥Field sports for all ages, including volleyball, basketball, soccer, track, lacrosse, field/floor hockey, games for fun

♥♥Pioneering, campcraft, outdoor cooking, rappelling, rock climbing, climbing wall

♥♥Arts & Crafts including ceramics, needlework, calligraphy, beading, clay, leather, drawing & painting

♥♥Dance, including jazz, modern, ballet, tap

♥♥Gymnastics, cheerleading, drill team, flag twirling

♥♥Drama, vocal and instrumental music

♥♥Individual sports including tennis, riflery, archery, and fencing

♥♥Yearbook, journalism, photography

♥♥Sign language

There are many aspects to the job of being a Heart counselor - it's a job that requires patience, a sense of humor, an attitude of service, sharing, and sacrifice, creativity, energy, dedication, physical endurance, and a spirit of fun!
