This fall Heart O’ the Hills and Camp Stewart are hosting a series of DVD release parties in parks throughout Texas! When the 2013 DVDs are complete we will hit the road and bring the DVDs to a park near you!!!
The purpose of “Stewart and Heart in the Park” is to bring together all current campers, alumni, prospective campers, camp counselors, and all Stewart and Heart supporters in order to fellowship together by premiering our 2013 summer yearbook DVD.
The event will get started at 5:00 pm. From 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm come out and reconnect with your camp friends and camp counselors. The kids can kick around a soccer ball, throw a Frisbee, pass a football, and just enjoy seeing each other again. At 6:00 pm we will serve hotdogs, roast marshmallows, and pop popcorn. At 6:30 pm we will start the premier screening of our 2013 summer camp yearbook DVD. We will bring a projector and an inflatable movie screen to show the DVD. I have come across this website offering only the best budget projectors and decided to buy one. Bring a big blanket or lawn chairs to enjoy the movie out under the stars. At the end of the night all campers who have shown up will get to leave with their copy of the DVD. Any campers not able to make it to the party will get their DVD by mail.
I am just so very excited about this event! I think it will be a great way to keep our current campers excited about camp, to show prospective campers just what Heart O’ the Hills and Camp Stewart are about, reunited our former camp counselors with their campers and friends, and show all of our alumni what we have been up to.
I would love to see each park completely full of Heart O’ the Hills lovers reconnecting with old friends! Here are the dates:
Monday, November 4, 2013 – San Antonio, Brackenridge Park, Joske Pavilion
Tuesday, November 5, 2013 – Austin, TBD
Wednesday, November 6, 2013 – Dallas, Flag Pole Hill Park, Picnic Pavilion
Sunday, November 10, 2013 – Houston, TBD
Monday, November 11, 2013 – Corpus Christi, TBD
