Field days are undoubtedly one of the most exciting events in the camp calendar. Friendly competition between the Pawnees and Shawnees allow our campers to strive to do their best and in turn display good sportsmanship. Each field day has an incredible theme and this year is no different! I could go on and on and keep y’all in suspense but let’s just get to the good stuff shall we?
So, without further ado, the Heart O’ the Hills 2016 field day themes are……. *drum roll please*
- SAFARI – create a wickedly wild costume and prepare for a field day full of animal fun! (Split A)
- THROWBACK THURSDAY – dig out a groovy get up because for running field day we will be running back in time through the decades! (Split B)
Another fun filled event I wanted to let y’all know of is perhaps a little stereotypical of my home country. Mind yer tartan lassies and brace yersels for a braw time! (Translation: remember your tartan and get ready for a brilliant time!) That’s right, this year Heart O’ the Hills will be hosting its first ever Highland Games!!!!!! This event will fall in Split A but fear not Split B campers, because y’all will be able to “just keep swimming” through the term to a “Finding Dory” themed CARNIVAL!!
I hope you’re all as happy with the themes as we are at The Heart. The countdown to camp is on – 87 days till First Term and and 121 days till Second Term!!!
